Horses of Freedom Farm


Candy ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 26 year-old quarter horse mare. Her registered name is IW Canela Be and she was donated by Dina Connolly in 2014. She is a spunky girl who loves to move and is an excellent teacher for all levels of riding and groundwork.


Journey ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 14 year-old QH mare. Her registered name is Lady Kelly Hayes SK. She was a lesson and trail riding horse with show experience. She comes from loving owners that cared for her so well. Due to Navicular disease, she needed a job that helped her stay mentally and physically happy, but not over worked. She is the sweetest mare and so loved here!


Oliver ($6,000 is needed for 2026) a 23 year-old Quarter Horse gelding. His registered name is Good Medicine. He is a retired western pleasure show horse. Oliver has a sweet personality and loves people! He is very forward moving and a great horse for riders working on independence.


Smarty ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 20 year-old Quarter Horse gelding. His registered name is Da Gin of Steady. He is a retired western show horse. Smarty loves to be the first one to meet you at the gate. His cute looks goes with his cute personality!


Tatanka ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 24 year-old Grade gelding. He has retired from a very successful National Ranch Horse Versatility career. He is very outgoing and loves a job!


Streak ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 21 year-old Grade Quarter Horse gelding. His previous job was as a family horse. He is dependable and outgoing. His slow and steady personality makes him excellent for teaching beginners.


Jac ($4,000 is needed for 2026) is an 18 year-old Quarter Horse gelding. He has retired from his career as a Versatility horse. He has a goofy personality and loves to make people smile.


Ivy ($6,000 is needed for 2026) is a 20 year-old Quarter Horse mare. She has retired from her career as a cutting horse. She has a calm and quiet demeanor and is so sweet with everyone.


The annual cost to care for one horse is $6,000.

Glory There is a huge hole at Freedom Farm without Glory here. She was our massive draft that connected deeply with everyone she met. We will miss Glory. She touched many lives in the 3 years she was at Freedom Farm.

Bubba Louie Our hearts are heavy with sadness after saying goodbye to Bubba Louie. He impacted many lives in the 4 years he was here.

Gucci has returned to her owner. Thank you Gucci for the lives you have impacted!

Sawyer has retired and is living the dream in the care of his previous owner.

Sedona has retired as a horse that can be ridden and is at her very first owners farm. They are honored to have her at their farm where they can love on her every day.

Our hearts are heavy with sadness after saying goodbye to Lily. She impacted many lives at Freedom Farm for 11 years. Lily was the sweetest, most loving mare we’ve ever had.

Our hearts are heavy with sadness after saying goodbye to our dearest ECHO.
He was a large pony with a heart so big most saw him as a full sized horse.
He changed lives at Freedom Farm for 13 years. I was  honored to care for him and miss his presence on the farm and hearing his unique nicker greeting. 
Thank you all that loved, supported, & prayed for Echo all these years.

Harry has retired. The years we had with Harry were awesome. We are very thankful he is able to enjoy his retirement with his first owner.

Rebel has been retired and is being boarded at a dear friend of Freedom Farm’s as we search for a great retirement home for him.

Mr. Dan passed away in 2022. Thank you to Lara for sharing him with us for the past year. He blessed many lives in his short time at Freedom Farm and will be missed.

Cassie passed away in 2021. Thank you to Laura and Alyssa Frickson for sharing her with us the last 10 years. Cassie loved so well and touched so many lives. We will miss her greatly! We thank her for her time at Freedom Farm and for being such a loving and patient horse to all her riders.

Stella is enjoying her retirement with one of Freedom Farm’s dedicated volunteers of 13 years. We thank Stella for her time at Freedom Farm and for being a steady and strong horse for all her riders.

Sara passed away in 2020. She helped many in her 4 years at Freedom Farm. We thank her for her time and for being such a sweet and loving horse with all her riders at Freedom Farm. Sara will be greatly missed.

Dakota passed away November 2019. He touched many lives at Freedom Farm in the 4 years he spent here. We thank him for his time at Freedom Farm and the independence and confidence he gave to his riders.

Timmy passed away in September 2018. He touched so many lives at Freedom Farm in the 5 years he spent here. Timmy will be greatly missed.
